What You'll Do

The Lead, Business Analyst / Deputy Manager, Applications will manage and support the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Enterprise suite that consists of Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud (EPBCS), and Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud (FCCS) systems, etc. at Kerry Properties Limited (KPL) Services. This includes support in the use, design, development, configuration, and testing of EPBCS modules; and the new implementation of FCCS modules in the year 2021, and the subsequent daily maintenance support.

 

He/She will perform functional tasks of medium-to-high technological complexity. He/She will manage and provide support in maximizing the value of EPM by identifying and recommending functional and technological solutions to improve business processes, enhance Planning and Budgeting functionality, and Financial Consolidation Reporting, and meet internal and external reporting requirements while providing production and end-user support

 

  • Manage and ensure Oracle EPM operates to meet KPL’s Financial Consolidation Reporting, and Budgeting & Planning objectives, including support, maintenance, testing, and developing functional/technical specifications.
  • Administer/configure EPBCS modules with a specific focus on Financial multi-years planning, including Development Property (DP) and Investment Property (IP) planning and forecasting, Treasury Management, and Cashflow & Forecasting as well as workforce and capital planning.
  • Involve FCCS project implementation to meet KPL’s Financial Consolidation Reporting compliance to Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standard (HKFRS), and the subsequent daily operation supports.
  • Build and maintain Essbase outlines, calculation scripts, business rules, dimension builds, data loads, and batch automation scripts.
  • Responsible for managing and monitoring the Oracle load process (ad hoc request and nightly scheduled loads), data validation, and addressing load issues.
  • Provide primary support in the development, testing, and maintenance of Finance and Management reports, and dashboards, which are requested by the business stakeholders including business users; utilizing ad-hoc queries, Smart View, etc.
  • Optimize Essbase applications to enhance performance for data loads, aggregations and calculations, and data retrievals.
  • Oversee master data management and governance for Oracle EPM with a primary focus on Financial system, Real Estate Management (REM) module – Development Property (DP) and Investment Property (IP), Supply Chain Management (SCM) suite – Procurement (PO), and Workforce and Capital system.
  • Ensure application compliance with policies, procedures, and change control process.
  • Promote and support the business automation on Oracle applications and functionalities, and other systems.

Education

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Finance or Computer Science, Information Technology “IT” or related disciplines with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience

 

Experience

  • Minimum one or two full-cycle practical configuration experience with the Oracle EPM Cloud Applications – EPBCS and/or FCCS project implementation, including Essbase administration; Additional experience of Oracle JDE skill sets will be a plus.
  • Familiar with core business processes including but not limited to Financial suites, Financial Planning and Analysis "FP&A", Treasury Management (Mortgage, Loans/Grants), and Cashflow and Forecasting are significant for this position.
  • Experience in Consulting, Auditing, Transaction service, or FP&A will be a plus.
  • Strong grasp of business and financial statements: Profit and Loss (P&L) ownership, Cash-flow and Balance Sheet strong understanding will be a plus.
  • Good understanding of multi-dimensional database management, object-oriented design, and modeling tools.

 

Professional Qualification

  • Get Oracle Cloud EPM Certified

 

Language

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably with proficiency in Putonghua.

  • Strong presentation, organization, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to plan and manage concurrent tasks, assignments, and projects, including preparing detailed written instructions and documentation for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to learn new evolving technologies quickly and to understand potential business use cases.
  • Flexibility with working schedule.
  • Occasional travel is required
